We have been developing the Noise Shed since 2011. Noise Shed brings together, circuit benders, sound artists, weird instrument makers, solo experimental electronic, live coding, chip-tune gameboy artists under the roof of a large shed. Amplified using a stack of guitar amps. Each performance happens during changeovers of bands on the main stage followed by a free for all jam up at the end. Artists are selected by noise-curators Tim Drage and Lisa McKendrick who keep a look out for suitable performers at gigs and projects they attend. The concept of Noise Shed is to provide a platform for artists to explore ideas and concepts in a space where anything is possible and nothing is too extreme and that that it is noise in its pure sense. Punters who are there to see bands on the main stage are surprised and electrified to discover the second stage where things out of the ordinary appear to be going on and the stage has become a favourite with many of the regular Cosmic Carnage audience. Within a few minutes they become the fans they always knew they were.
